Meet Jennifer
Background:
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based out of Southern California, working with clients statewide via Telehealth. I work with adolescents, adults, and older adults from diverse backgrounds and cultures. My specialty areas include trauma, stress, anxiety, grief, and depression.
Clinical Approach:
My approach is shaped by the needs of the client. I often draw from Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution Focused Therapy—though I am comfortable using other modalities when they better serve the client’s goals.
Focus Areas:
I work extensively with clients navigating grief, trauma, cultural identity, or life transitions. I am deeply comfortable supporting individuals from all cultural backgrounds.
Communication Style:
Calm, light-hearted, and straightforward. I often use metaphors to help make skill-building more accessible and lasting.
Personal Journey:
As a multilingual immigrant, partner to a combat veteran, and mother of biracial children—one of whom is special needs—I bring lived experience to my practice. My passion is rooted in equity and clarity.
Therapy Goals:
My work is collaborative and client-led. We identify goals and design a plan that feels relevant and meaningful.
First Session:
We use the first session to build connection and determine if I’m the right fit for you. I’ll gather context and help shape a treatment path together.
